The right floors for a basement

  • Luxury vinyl (LVP/SPC) — our top pick: waterproof and handles basement moisture far better than solid wood or carpet.
  • Laminate: durable and budget-friendly, installed as a floating floor with the right underlay.
  • Engineered hardwood — click (floating) only: nail-down hardwood doesn’t work in basements, because most basement floors are concrete. A click engineered floor gives you real wood over concrete.
  • Fast to install — most basements are done in a day or two.

We handle the prep

Many basements have concrete floors that need a moisture barrier or levelling before new flooring goes down. We check this at your free measurement and include any prep in your written quote — no surprises.

Installation prices: vinyl & laminate from $1.75/sq ft (400+ sq ft) · click engineered hardwood from $2.00/sq ft · removal from $1.25/sq ft · quarter round installation $1.50/linear ft (moulding extra). Free in-home measurement.
Delivery: free on orders of $3,000 or more; smaller orders are free to $150 in the GTA depending on size and weight.
